Confirmed by TheWrap, Black Mask will be the foe that our heroines will have to face up against. Defeating Black Mask will be no easy feat, as the Batman baddie is a known sadistic kingpin who makes Gotham his playing ground. To prove further how horrible Black Mask aka Roman Sionis is, he murdered his own wealthy parents just to take control of their estate. If the man is willing to cross that line, it won’t be good for Harley Quinn and co. to deal with.
Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey, which she will apparently also produce. Cathy Yan will direct. There’s a lot of speculation around who else will actually star in the film as well, but with Robbie and the main villain out of the way, we can start preparing for the film. If they make Sionis as horrifying as he was in the comics, it won’t be good and we may just see our most sadistic baddie yet in the DCEU.
