The Suicide Squad spin-off will be the least expensive film in the Warner Bros’ DC Extended universe. For example:
- Shazam!: $100 million
- Wonder Woman: $150 million
- Aquaman: $160 million
- Suicide Squad: $175 million
- Man of Steel: $225 million
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: $250 million
- Justice League $300 million
It should be noted that simply because it has a lower budget doesn’t mean it won’t be good – just more grounded without perhaps so much CGI. It is, though; the largest project for LuckyChap Entertainment. This five-year-old production company was founded by Margot Robbie, the woman behind Harley Quinn.
Margot told Vogue [About Birds of Prey]:
“Well, we’re on schedule and on budget. Which is a wonderful place to be.”
Birds of Prey will hit theaters February 7, 2020.
