[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6325″ img_size=”913×420″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_column_text]If you said Birds of Prey is not a hot topic when it comes to comic book films you would be wrong.  There is not shortage of fans on social media clamoring each day for some hint at news regarding this film. Who will play Black Canary? When are getting the official casting announcements? Just comb through Twitter and you will see people posting rumors and speculations galore. The latest batch of casting speculations point at possible stars like Rita Ora, Rihanna, Eiza Gonzalez, Lady Gaga and Kaya Scodelario all being potential casting choices. While we wait for Warner Bros. to give us the official casting news, we have some production information thanks to Pursue News via Production Weekly.

Pursue News reports that Birds of Prey is set to begin production on January 14th in Los Angeles, California and the working title for the film will be ‘Fox Force Five’ which according to PN is a reference to a failed TV show that starred Uma Thurman. This could also be a reference to the fact that 5 females will be leading this film with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn front and center and joining her will be Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya and Cassandra Cain.

Hopefully this news is a good sign that we will be getting that official casting news any day now. I have spoken with some insiders who claim that we should be getting the news within the next two weeks for sure. So continue to keep and eye on Twitter and Geek Vibes Nation for the latest news when it comes to DC and Marvel.
