Letitia Wright stole hearts and scenes with her spirited portrayal of the brains behind Wakanda’s vast technology. With that fame, it was assumed that Wright would be offered many roles and while she has been, she has been very selective in her choices. Now we learn through The Hollywood Reporter that one role she has accepted is Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile. She will be performing along side Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, and Branagh who will once again portray Christie’s mustachioed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. This will be Branagh’s second turn at the character as he also directed and starred in the 2018 adaptation of Christie’s  Murder on the Orient  Express.

Wright will fill the role of  Rosalie Otterbourne, a lead suspect in the story. The tale follows Poirot as he attempts to unravel the murder of a young heiress while on vacation in Egypt. The role was originally played in a 1978 film adaptation by Olivia Hussey which starred Peter Ustinov and Mia Farrow. Branagh’s version of Murder on the Nile is expected to start filming in mid-September. In the meantime, you can see Wright reprise her role as Shuri in Marvel’s Avengers: Engame which opens on April 26th.
