Brandon Routh has been Superman and the Atom, but now he’s taking on the role of a police officer. According to Deadline, Routh will join ABC’s The Rookie. His role has the potential for a season-long arc. Routh will play Doug Stanton and appear in episode two of season three of The Rookie.
Doug Stanton is an 11-year veteran of the LAPD. His views are described as “polarizing” among the Mid-Wilshire station. Routh is booked for four episodes, but he could potentially return for more.
The Rookie stars Nathan Fillion as the oldest rookie in the LAPD – John Nolan.
