Brendan Fraser States He’d Return to The Mummy: “IF There’s a Fun Way to Approach it Again”

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”29353″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It should go without saying that a Mummy movie without Brendan Fraser is no Mummy movie at all. Just look at the 2017 film with Tom Cruise in it. While there are no plans for a fourth Mummy movie in the Fraser-franchise, the actor did say that he would return. That is, if it’s fun. In an interview with CinemaBlend, he expressed that he would be interested in reprising his role as the 90s heartthrob Rick O’Connell.

“Just gotta say, I know how hard it is to make that movie. I tried to do it three times, and the essential ingredient is fun. You gotta remember to have fun. So if there’s a fun way to approach it again, I’m all in.”

The first two Mummy movies were absolutely classic and even the third film, though minus Rachel Weisz; still gave us the Rick O’Connell that we needed. The 2017 reboot grossed than any of the previous three films in its opening weekend. Thus, essentially killing the Dark Universe that Universal had wanted to open up. Though, with a new Invisible Man movie in the work and Fraser’s interest in The Mummy, could Universal reconsider?

You can find Fraser on DC Universe’s Doom Patrol, which is possibly one of my favorite shows of 2019. Renewed for a second season, you will be able to catch its sophomore year on DC Universe the upcoming HBO Max.

Would you like to see a fourth Mummy film starring Fraser?
