It appears that former Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, Chelsea Peretti has joined the vocal cast for the upcoming sequel. The first film was a smash hit for the studio that brought us Despicable Me and Secret Life of Pets. The film grossed over $634 million on a budget of $75 million and sported an all star cast consisting of Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon.
Adding Chelsea to what is sure to be another All-Star cast is just icing on the cake if you ask me. No further casting announcements have been made at this time but Illumination has scheduled the film to release on Christmas Day 2020.
