Originally only 13 episodes, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s second life on NBC has officially received an eighteen-episode sixth season. Premiering midseason on the network, fans will be happy to know that their favorite budding cop show will have more episodes than originally intended. Canceled by Fox originally, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was picked up by Universal’s sister studio.
Starring Andy Samberg, the series was created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur of Parks and Recreation. This comedy has been highly praised for its storylines, acting, and diverse representation. There is even a plan for the show to showcase a #MeToo centered episode, which would be great because I believe that at times comedies are the best places to talk about a serious situation, because series usually approach these issues in a heartfelt manner and reach more viewers.
How excited are you that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is getting 18 episodes?
A girl with too many fandoms to count.
