Written by Donny Cates, he and illustrator Danilo Beyruth bring the well-known Marvel character back after his death in Venomized. In this issue, a cult could potentially have the power to resurrect Carnage.
Cates is very excited for the upcoming one-shot, speaking with comicbook.com:
“Oh, it’s HUGE!,” Cates says. “I know we are supposed to say that, but hopefully fans and retailers both know by now that I don’t just say that stuff. If I tell you something is going to be big, I mean it! And as far as my Venom run is concerned, THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE. For fans and collectors alike, this is a big, big moment in the history of Carnage and Venom himself. This is the first chapter in something very, VERY big! Be sure to be there when it all goes down in Carnage Born!”
Carnage truly lives up to his name, Cletus Kasady a cruel, cannibalistic sociopath. But, as with anything truly sick and demented, a cult will look to worship Carnage and could have the potential of bringing him back, thus continuing his rampage. Web of Venom: Carnage Born #1 will be on sale in November.
