Charlie Cox Wants A Reunion Between Daredevil and The Punisher

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8522″ img_size=”800×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]We are days away from the premiere of Daredevil season three and it’s been revealed earlier that the third installment will not feature any crossovers from other MCU shows. In an effort to “get back to basics”, the season is focusing on Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, along with newcomer Bethel Wilson, who is playing Bullseye. We, of course, know that Fisk is coming back with a vengeance, but Bullseye is sure to be a standout, much like Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle was in season two. Although fans are dying to see the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen reunite with The Punisher, we aren’t getting a reunion any time soon. Charlie Cox, the man behind Daredevil’s titular character; hopes that the two meet sometime in the future, though.

“Oh, man, I really hope so. I loved working with Jon. I loved that dynamic, and there’s a wealth of storylines and dynamics that could be explored from the comics with those two. So that would be great.” Cox spoke with Digital Spy.

As much as Cox would want Bernthal to return to Daredevil, I believe the fans are just as eager for this to happen. We can see a lot of influence that The Punisher had on Daredevil in the upcoming third season and Bernthal’s performance in the explosive season two is what paved the way for the actor to get his own spin-off show. There’s a lot that could happen in a reunion and we all know there is unfinished business between Frank Castle and Wilson Fisk.

Daredevil season three is only three days away![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
