It has been several decades, but Johnny Lawrence still holds a candle for Ali – his high school beau. Cobra Kai has sprinkled Ali into the conversation several times. Especially when Johnny and Daniel LaRusso took a moment to look her up on Facebook. Season two ended with Johnny getting a Facebook request from Ali. Though, he had tossed his phone at the beach before seeing the notification.
William Zabka, who plays Johnny; teased his character’s feelings for Ali in regards to season three:
“Well, nothing is as it seems, I can tell you that. Listen, for the character of Johnny, Ali, I’ve been saying this for the last two seasons, she’s a big missing piece of his life. She’s the love that got away and in some form would love to reconnect. But the show is full of surprises.”
