The San Diego Comic Con has come and gone and from all reports, it was a great time. But not everyone can make the trip to San Diego (although I imagine everyone would love to). For those like me who cannot make that trip, either financially or logistically, local Cons are our chance to experience a bit of what we miss. Which is why it is exciting for me that the 2023 Raleigh Galaxycon is here. Running from July 27th through the 30th, this year’s GalaxyCon is jam packed with guests for fans of all ages. So, let’s look at just some of the celebrities making an appearance at this time. (I say at this time because the ongoing SAG/AFTRA and WGA strikes might still have an impact).
That’s Not All
This is just the celebrity list. That doesn’t count the Voice Over performers, Comic Creators, Literary Celebs, and Wrestling Stars. Where else could you find Ric Flair (Styling and Profiling) AND Brett “The Hitman” Hart (The Excellence of Execution). Raleigh GalaxyCon…that’s where. It promises to be one of the best Galaxycons ever. Which is why I’m going to make that 3-hour drive from Richmond to Raleigh to take it all in. Thanks to my wife Kathy who is a really good sport. That and she wants pictures with Christopher Lloyd, Richard Dreyfus, and Don Bluth (of American Tail fame).
Look Us Up
For myself, as a confessed Marvel’s Agents of Shield fan, I was thrilled to learn that Ming-Na Wen would be making an appearance. We have a photo op scheduled with her as well. (Fingers crossed with the Strike and all, but so far so good). If you are a Star Trek fan alone, you will be pleased with so many favorites attending. You can find out more details on their website: GalaxyCon Raleigh. Tickets are getting harder to find but there are options. We hope to see you there. Just look for my wife and I wearing not only our Galaxy Con passes but our GeekVibes badges as well. Feel free to say hi. If you’re in costume, you might find your creation on the Geek Vibes page. Look for our coverage over the weekend!
