Earlier this week it was reported that Marvel was looking to cast a young Hispanic actress for Doctor Strange 2. That speculation led many to believe that America Chavez will be making her MCU debut in that film. With Marvel looking to possibly set up the Young Avengers, it only makes sense that America will eventually be introduced.
A candidate for that role could be Dora the Explorer herself, Isabela Moner. An article from KnightEdge Media suggests that could be the case. Marvel had previously had Moner on their radar for another role but Moner either turned it down or was unavailable to do it. KnightEdge says Marvel has a habit of circling back around. If that’s the case perhaps things with Moner will work out this time.
Now all of this is purely speculation and the role of America Chavez hasn’t even been confirmed as true. But it’s interesting since Moner fits the description of what Marvel is looking for and makes you wonder if it could happen.
