Could It Be Eyes Down for Game of Thrones Bingo?

Arguably, there has never been a TV show with such a huge ensemble cast as Game of Thrones and whose stories have been enjoyed over no fewer than 73 exciting episodes. Its rich mix of intrigue, action and, it has to be said, violence kept viewers gripped all over the world. Yes, the final season might have left many die-hard fans a little disappointed. But it has also left huge numbers still hungry to enjoy more of the conflict between Westeros and Essos, along with the multifarious other plots we’ve seen played out on screen.

The good news is that a spin-off series is definitely the pipeline and we’ll get on to this in a moment. But another question is whether GoT could be ripe for conversion into other forms of entertainment too.

For example, in an epic that has never been afraid to surprise fans, could a game of bingo be a genuinely off-the-wall way to revisit the series? This may not be as far-fetched as it seems. If you were to visit an online bingo site like https://bingo.paddypower.com/ you would find a range of bingo games based around different themes. For example, there is one that takes inspiration from that old gameshow favorite Deal Or No Deal. But, more relevantly, there is another with the intriguing title Age of the Gods.

Closer inspection reveals that this is set firmly in the age of myth and magic with prize levels named after Greek mythology. These include awards called Zeus, Athena, Hades and Ares. Imagine how easily these could be replaced by Tyrion, Cersei, Daenerys and Jorah. The ultimate winner of the game could also be installed, at least virtually, in the Iron Throne.

Of course, this isn’t a game to be confused with the other kind of Game of Thrones bingo that was being circulated on various fans sites like https://watchersonthewall.com/ when the show was being aired. In this you had to tick off specific events or features as and when they happened on screen. These ranged from a major character death to Jaime looking conflicted and it was a game that certainly got viewers paying plenty of extra attention. It also helped to make watching episodes an even more involving and sociable experience – even if true fans might have considered it to be a little too disrespectful for their taste. Surely, this wouldn’t be an issue in an officially sanctioned bingo game.

It could also be the perfect accompaniment to the new spin-off series that have been reported on https://deadline.com/ including the House of the Dragon prequel. It could even lend itself to the renaming of a bingo game as “Housey Housey of the Dragon”.

Anyway, these do certainly seem to be quite exciting times for GoT fans who are eagerly awaiting their next slice of action. And, if some that can also be enjoyed on a leading bingo site or two, so much the better.
