[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8984″ img_size=”1000×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Pirates of the Caribbean is a successful franchise, with its first three films giving us great storytelling and just a fun time at the theater. What came next, not so much. Regardless, the movies have been a financial success and according to Deadline, we might be seeing a reboot of the whole shebang. While we may not think this is a good idea, considering how well the films were, it may be smart for the studio to work on bringing it back to its full glory, with a new cast to tell about the adventures of pirates and the sea.
Disney has met with the writing team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who are in early talks for writing a script. Considering the controversy surrounding Johnny Depp, it’s most likely that they want to move forward with a reboot to draw in different and new actors, while utilizing technology that we did not have when the films first premiered. That being said, can anyone ever actually top Geoffrey Rush performance-wise?
As we find out more, we’ll let you know![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
