After multiple reports and comments from the actor, it was assumed that Downey Jr. was leaving the MCU and opening the door for the next generation of Avengers.
Now, Fox is reporting (via The SUN) that Downey Jr. could come back. Though, just as a voice actor in a potential Iron Heart series on Disney+. According to the news outlet, it would be in an A.I. capacity. Such as Paul Bettany was J.A.R.V.I.S. to Tony Stark, Downey Jr. would be just that to RiRi Williams.
