While the first Thor served as a decent introduction to the character and the mythology of Thor and Loki, Thor: Dark World was…well, let’s say not good. So, it seems a bit unfair that we finally get a spectacular Thor movie and suddenly, no more? While many are worried that Avengers: Endgame will be the end for Chris Hemsworth in the MCU, there could be a small glimmer of hope, as Tessa Thompson, who stared in Ragnarok as the formidable Valkyrie; shares that she had heard rumors of a fourth Thor being in the works:
“I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film]. I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika would come back.”
This is no guarantee that a fourth Thor would actually happen. We all would love Taika Waititi and Hemsworth to come back, but we do have to wait to see what happens in Endgame first. Depending on what happens to Thor and the fact that it seems like Kevin Feige wants to focus on other characters besides the holy trinity (Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor), who knows. Maybe we’ll see something on Disney+? Would you like another Thor movie with Waititi directing?
