Daniel Craig’s New Movie ‘Knives Out’ To Be Auctioned at Toronto International Film Festival

Knives Out is an upcoming murder mystery movie starring Daniel Craig and directed by Rian Johnson. Debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival, this movie will be a classic “who done it” kind of experience and has come out of left field, but will certainly do its part to distract viewers from what’s currently happening with Bond 25.

Knives Out will essentially be brokered at the Toronto International Film Festival, which considering it has a complete script and a star already, it has more of a chance to get picked up than some films.

As far as inspiration for Knives Out, Johnson told Deadline that his love for Agatha Christie is what inspired him to build this story. Wanting to produce a real- classical murder mystery, Johnson is producing the film with partner Ram Bergman.

“I have been a huge fan and always wanted to work with him and as I worked on the script, trying to get it right, Ram and I were wringing our hands over who could be the detective. Then, serendipitously, we heard Daniel might have a small window, and it worked out. He’s an actor of extraordinary range, and we are looking forward to the fun of finding that modern detective, and collaborating with Daniel on creating a new Poirot.” – Johnson spoke about the alliance between he, Bergman, and Craig.

As we hear more about the outcome of the auction, we’ll let you know!
