Danny Boyle Teases a Third Film in the 28 Days Later Franchise

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”25110″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]28 Days Later is a quintessential zombie film. Starring Cillian Murphy, the film explored a world 28 days into a zombie apocalypse. That came out in 2002. The sequel 28 Weeks Later came out in 2007. Since then, it’s been quiet.

Danny Boyle, though; is teasing that a third film is being developed. He has an idea for a story for the third film and is re-teaming writer Alex Garland, the original writer; for the project.

Boyle stated:

“Alex Garland and I have a wonderful idea for the third part. It’s properly good.”

He then added:

“The original film led to a bit of a resurgence in the zombie drama and it doesn’t reference any of that. It doesn’t feel stale at all. He’s concentrating on directing his own work at the moment, so it’s stood in abeyance really, but it’s a you-never-know.”

As a fan of the original 28 Days Later, I am intrigued by this news. Would you want to see another film in the franchise? Let us know!
