The Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are very much excited for the return of Daredevil. Charlie Cox came back briefly to reprise his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and now he is set to return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The blind lawyer Matt Murdock meets newly appointed Hulk Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), the gamma-irradiated blood that accidently transferred from her cousin Bruce Banner to her in a car accident, as we saw in recent clips. The MCU is in the beginning of a new stage where even the Disney+ shows are introducing some of the MCU’s biggest characters.

In a recent promo for the new series, we saw Daredevil in a brand new yellow and red suit. Which if you remember from the Netflix’s Daredevil series, this definitely far different from the maroon red body armor. So what is this new look? You may ask.

Where does the yellow and red suit come from?

Daredevil’s first appearance in the Marvel Comics was in 1964. It follows the story of young Matt Murdock who gets radioactive waste in his eyes saving a elderly man from an oncoming truck. He then loses his ability to see, but the substance heightens all his other senses to what you can say is a superhuman degree. After the death of his father, Murdock seeked training from a blind combat expert named Stick.

Later in Murdock’s adult life he went on to become a lawyer opening his own firm with partner Foggy Nelson, but at night he throws on the suit and fights crimes as the Daredevil, the man with no fear. The yellow and red suit was his first suit featured in the comics so it seems to me Murdock will be going back to his original roots in the MCU, but you may ask where does it fall aline canon wise?

If you remember season 3 of the Netflix’s Daredevil series we met Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) who poses as Daredevil using a very similar suit. Under Wilson Fisk orders, Bullseye tried to defame Daredevil’s name and ruin his reputation. However, Murdock beat both Fisk and Bullseye and then went on to retire from crime fighting.

However, over 5 years later and one blip, it’s safe to say a lot has been going on in Murdock’s life. And we will get a taste of what’s been happening in the upcoming She-Hulk series.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiers on Disney+ on Aug 18, you can check out the trailer below.
