Dark Phoenix recently released its first trailer for the highly-anticipated movie, highlighting the “end”, which at this points, seems spot-on considering the Disney and Fox deal that passed recently. Either way, the Sophie Turner led film promises us one of the best X-Men movies yet, as well as the introduction of new characters. One being the villain Selene, which we got a glimpse at in a new exclusive photo. In the comics, Selene is known as the Black Queen, who was also a part of the infamous Hellfire Club.
In the photo you can see Kota Eberhardt, standing beside Erik aka Magneto in a standoff against Charles Xavier. While it’s unsure what the two are fighting about here, Professor X and his old friend have butted heads repeatedly in all mediums of X-Men throughout the years. If we remember in the original trilogy, specifically The Last Stand, the two powerhouses were fighting over Jean Grey and her powers, which could be what the two of them are arguing about here as well? This is not confirmed, just my own personal theory.
