Dave Bautista Says He Went To Warner Bros. About Playing Bane

Dave Bautista is gearing up for the release of his new film with Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead. Then he begins work on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 with James Gunn. During his spotlight panel at Justice Con, the actor was asked what DC character he might want to play if given the chance. Without hesitation, Dave shared a story about going to Warner Bros. and telling them he wanted to play the Batman villain, Bane.

Oh, it would be Bane all day long. I’ve made no secret about this. I want to play Bane so bad I went to Warner Bros., had an appointment with them, had an appointment with DC, walked in the door and said, “I want to play Bane.” I’m not kidding. They were a little like “Woah, we’re not even casting Bane.” I was like “I don’t care, I’m playing him.”

Bautista even took to Twitter with an image proving he went to WB but was shown the door

Playing Lobo

Matt Reeves has a new Batman movie and a planned trilogy so if Reeves wants to use Bane, WB does not have to look for very for their actor. Bautista also says he would be interested in playing DC bounty hunter, Lobo.

“I would really take a look at Lobo. I’d really be interested. I’d be all over that.”

Dave has proven himself as an actor so any upcoming comic book movie would be wise to give Dave a look. Of course it has to be for a role that he wants. Fingers crossed he gets the dream job of playing Bane.

Who would you like to see Bautista play in a DC film?
