DC Comic Review: The Green Lantern #7

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”21014″ img_size=”411×623″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The latest Green Lantern issue is a darkly beautiful one, as we see the personification of Hal Jordan’s ring in peril. Much of the issue takes place with this beautiful characterization of the power that this Green Lantern wields, as she is in trouble and Hal does everything he can to not only comfort her, but save her as well. It wasn’t something I was expecting, but the way that the illustration is done in this issue is really quite clever and nice to look at – with green hues the constant theme without.

We have a direct view into the dying city within the ring, a picture that was able to be done well by Morrison and Sharp. It was one issue that concentrated solely on Hal and the ring, but it was a lovely story to watch none the less. As we’ve seen from the past six issues of this Green Lantern story, Hal has been through a lot and it’s almost a nice reprieve to see him in this capacity throughout the pages.

As I said before, the illustration in this issue is beautiful and haunting. It is something that I wouldn’t mind being adapted onto the big screen, if done with the right special effects. If you are a fan of the Green Lantern series, you will really enjoy this issue. Not much happens and there is a lot of dialogue, but it is great for the Green Lantern Corps mythos.

I would say to definitely get your hands on this issue and please to let me know what you think about it as a compliment to the series or would you have preferred to not have one issue dedicated to just the story you’ve read?[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”21006,21007,21009,21010,21011,21012,21013,21015,21005″ img_size=”411×632″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
