DC Comic Review: Martian Manhunter #4

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18719″ img_size=”411×631″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It should be apparent, if you’ve read any of my previous reviews; that I adore the current Martian Manhunter series that DC Comics is producing. The gorgeous colors and descriptive scenery really build a world that is highlighted by a highly interesting storyline that we are seeing through the eyes of J’onn J’onnz.

With the fourth issue, we return to J’onn’s home planet for background content, where we are seeing J’onn and his love having to stress over issues that could threaten their very being. Like we have seen before with this species, they have the ability to change and shift and the phrase “two becomes one” is very relatable in this situation. But, for some reason, it’s absolutely gorgeous to witness and really comments of this society as a whole, that we see this tough Manhunter who is able to come home and be completely in love, without taking any of his frustrations from the day out in his home.

The third half of this issue is back in present time, with John Jones reflecting still on the aftermath of his partner finding out that he is not human and not, in fact; the John Jones that she knows. As he was on Mars, he is still a tough cop who does his job. But, we see at the end of the issue, and I won’t spoil anything; that a problem of his past will come to Earth to become a problem of present day.

I give this two major thumbs up and a MUST read. Make sure you pick up a copy of your own![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”18714,18717,18715,18718,18716,18720″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
