DC Comic Review: Shazam! #3

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”16584″ img_size=”500×384″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It’s Candyland and the tale of Hansel and Gretel all rolled into one in the latest issue of Shazam! #3.

What kid doesn’t like candy and a Willy Wonka experience? That’s what we are dealing with for the majority of this latest issue in the Shazam! series. As I had stated in my previous review, the comic takes place a lot following around the kids and showcasing their adventure in this colorful land where everything is edible. All ran by King Kid, who literally looks like a kid running the show.

While I really wasn’t into the majority of the story, simply because it was not my cup of tea, I was happy to finally see Shazam and the Shazam family get into some action, once they find out King Kid’s true nature. Which, shouldn’t have been too hard to figure out, but again, who doesn’t love free candy and sweets? You can hardly blame them and you have to remember that although they are full-blown adults fighting crime due to their powers, in the end, they are simply children, and the King Kid knew exactly how to appeal to them.

I would say that if you are a fan of Shazam! you should pick up a copy of this third issue and since we see the Shazam family getting into action at the end, I hope that it will pick up with the fighting in issue #4. Let me know what you think of this latest installment![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”16588,16589,16583,16585,16586,16587″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
