DC Comic Review: The Flash #71

It’s a team-up between two Flash’s in the latest issue of The Flash! Barry Allen finds himself in the future and face to face with…well, himself. An older version of Barry is there to guide our hero through this confusing moment and although there is a lot that he can’t tell the other, it seems that it is an encounter that is needed as the older Barry tells the younger Barry things he needs in order to become the hero we all know he is.

Right in the first few pages we are given a version of an iconic Flash scene that involves the two Flashes on either side of a brick wall, although this version sees our Barry’s in a much stickier situation than simply rescuing someone. Barry must race to an escape and face a foe that he has never seen before.

Overall, this is a great looking comic issue with a lot of heart and it is great seeing Barry trying to figure everything out with the help of his older self. It’s also nice to see that he has a good future in his horizon, if he can just get up on his own two feet first without tripping.

I would give this issue of The Flash a 8 out of 10, which means you should definitely go and pick up #71 today!
