Year of the Villain: Lex Luthor #1

One Lex Luthor to rule them all. Or should I say, will the real Lex Luthor please stand up?

I’m not sure what I expected when I picked up Year of the Villain: Lex Luthor #1, but it certainly wasn’t what the comic was. That is not a bad thing, just unexpected. Lex Luthor is one of the most notorious and well-known villains in cinema. Not only among DC fans or comic fans, but among people altogether. Lex Luthor is Superman’s Joker, so it would make sense that we have one epic comic to show us just how powerful this man is.

And Lex is certainly not about to let a multiverse get in the way of being the superior Luthor. Looking a tad like Doctor Doom, the evil Lex Luthor escorts us throughout the multiverse and to different versions of himself. Some Lex Luthor’s who went on to being Superman’s ally, others where he’s a simple fisherman, and another where he’s the businessman that we know. Of course, we even get a Lex who accomplished his quest to take down Superman, which the main Lex deems as foolish and short-sighted. A Lex Luthor who isn’t hellbent on taking down Superman? Blasphemous.

While Lex Luthor reminds me a bit of the Doomsday comic that is out, I still enjoyed getting to see the different Lex Luthor’s in the different multiverses. Make sure you grab yourself a copy and let me know what you think of Year of the Villain: Lex Luthor #1.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”29743,29745,29746,29747,29748,29749″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”29750″ img_size=”500×384″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
