DC Comics Review: Aquaman #46

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18175″ img_size=”411×631″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Things are not going well for Aquaman’s friend Caille in the latest episode of the Aquaman series.

Arthur Curry must help a friend as evil forces are at work and there’s times in this comic issue that you are unsure if he can accomplish this or if Caille is doomed to succumb to the curse that is upon her. This is on top of the fact that Arthur still doesn’t know who he is, but that does not stop him from fighting and trying to protect this woman that he cares about.

As always, this series relies heavily on the gorgeous panels and beautiful display of colors. Every scene where there is a battle within or around the water is drawn and colored beautifully, really succeeding in telling us this sea tale. We also get a bit of background of the people who have been caring for Arthur since he showed up at their doorsteps and the mythology of the sea is implied here slightly. It’s always fun to see how mythology will be incorporated in this series and it reminds you that we are not just dealing with a man with powers, but something almost akin to godlike.

Spoiler alert, but I just had to mention it, we see Mera at the end of this issue and it is a telling of what we are going to expect in the next installment. But, any time we are able to see this character is a good one and hopefully, it means that Arthur is one step closer to remembering who he is and the power that he holds. Aquaman #46 is a must as far as DC comics reading goes and just this series as a whole is currently DC’s best. Make sure you pick up a copy as soon as it hits the shelves![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”18176,18177,18179,18178,18180,18181″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
