DC Comics Review: Martian Manhunter #3

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”16597″ img_size=”500×384″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If I could be so bold, I believe that there is no current comic book that could compare to the aesthetic and beauty that the Martian Manhunter series possesses. Save the Aquaman series, this Martian Manhunter series really captures my heart and any installment that is released excites me to no end. If you haven’t gotten the idea from my previous two reviews, I love this story.

We pick up in the third issue where we left off in issue two, where J’onn J’onnz is dealing with the ramifications of his partner Diane finding out the truth about him. As opposed to the previous two issues, where we were able to get a full view of his life on his home planet and the life he had before Earth, this issue spends more time of J’onn explaining his being to Diane.

We also get to know what happened to the real John Jones and the obligation J’onn felt towards this human being. We’re able to really know what drives J’onn and his development on Earth. While he is spending much of his time speaking with his partner, another storyline is occurring in the background. Something sinister is brewing and it’s clear that Diane will have to repress her hesitation towards the alien to deal with the challenges up ahead.

As always, you need to pick up the Martian Manhunter’s latest issue, because if I had more than two thumbs, I’d give it about three or four thumbs up.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”16598,16593,16594,16595,16596″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
