Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing four new animated shorts for their new DC Showcase to go along with their animated film slate for 2021-2022. The characters they will be based around will be:
Kamandi
The Losers
Blue Beetle
Constantine
Each film will be produced by Rick Morales (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge)
Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth! will be directed by Matt Peters (Justice League Darks: Apokolips War) and written by Paul Giacoppo (Young Justice, Star Wars: Resistance). This will be the first of the four shorts released and will be attached to ‘Justice Society: World War II’ in Spring 2021. While not many details have been released about Kamandi, it will be a post-apocalyptic thriller.
As far as The Losers and Blue Beetle, it is unknown what DC animated films that these will be attached to. but Constantine will be part of a compilation set to be released in 2022 and will serve as the anchor for the compilation.
