DC Universe To Premiere New Gaming Miniseries Exec Produced by Freddie Prinze Jr.

TV shows about tabletop role-playing games are getting a lot of love. We have series like Critical Role and HarmonQuest. Now, we are finding out that the DC Universe app will host an unscripted anthology gaming miniseries called DC Universe All Star Games. This series will feature some famous DC fans playing various different games.

The series will be exec produced by Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sam Witwer and will be directed by Jon Lee Broady. Some of the guests fans can expect to see in season one are Clare Grant, Vanessa Marshall, and WWE’s Xavier Woods.

All Star Games is described as:

“…nostalgic role-playing adventure, The Breakfast League … Set in the same ’80s era as when the game was first published, the five participants role-play as a group of high schoolers stuck in Saturday detention. As they improv their way through a variety of situations familiar to fans of beloved movies from that time period, they soon discover their destinies as the world’s greatest super-heroes.”

Expect to see episode one of the five-part season on DC Universe on February 28th. New episodes will debut each Friday.

Prinze has stated:

“DC Heroes was the first RPG I ever played as a kid. It was also my introduction to the DC Universe, its heroes and, most importantly, its rich pool of villains. I had a blast making this series and I hope all of you love it as much as I do.”
