For some inexplicable reason, Brandon Routh has a soft spot in his heart for Superman. In fact, he probably believes in a past life he WAS Superman. Maybe that explains why the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow actor has expressed his desire to appear with Tyler Hoechlin’s version of the Man of Steel.
Of course we all know that Routh indeed played the iconic character in Superman Returns. These days he is playing the role of Ray Palmer, also known as the Atom. Routh explained his desire to appear with the current Arrowverse version of Superman.
That would be a blast. I’ve never, except for doing a little comedy bit, ‘League of Supermen,’ that I did with the Daly family, shared the screen with a Superman. But that would be fun.
Since we know that none of the Legends stars will appear in this years Elseworlds, it doesn’t mean that Routh’s Atom will not get that chance in the future, even if it’s a “small” chance.
