After saving the planet from an alien invasion last season, the Legends deserve a break. Too bad their time travel ship, the Waverider, gets blown up by a second Waverider…meaning the Legends are now trapped in 1925 Odessa, Texas! The only way to get home, and get payback on their mysterious new enemy, is to journey across the country to an early pioneer of time travel, who might just be their only hope of returning home. But with no Waverider, no way of knowing how they’re impacting the timeline, and a time-traveling foe hunting them, this will be the toughest mission yet for the Legends.

Video Quality
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Complete Seventh Season arrives on Blu-Ray with a fetching AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 1.78:1. The levels of detail in this presentation is quite amazing, as all of the subtle details in the various settings radiate a nice texture. Skin tones appear very natural across the entire cast. The encode is solid with no egregious instances of aliasing or compression artifacts detectable. The show uses CGI frequently to pretty solid effect, and that is represented well here. The series is quite bright and colorful, and there are some magical instances of beautiful colors popping off the screen. Black levels are appropriately deep and give way to a nice amount of detail in shadows. The bright whites of the series do not fall victim to any blooming in this presentation. The Blu-Ray presentation does everything it needs to do exceedingly well.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with an immensely active DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that brings every adventure to life without issue. Dialogue always comes through perfectly clear without being overwhelmed by the soaring score or any sound effects. The music of the show often fills the room with a soundscape that gets you ready for the story at hand. Action sequences and more kinetic moments are given the appropriate power in the mix with a strong showing in the low end. Ambient sounds are precisely placed in the rear channels. The audio track is just as pleasing as the video portion of things.
Special Features
- Deleted Scenes: 24 minutes of unused material is provided here including scenes between Nate and Behrad preparing to act as a lookout, a sheriff not trusting the testimony of his constituents, amusing scenes of Ava trying to be a homemaker, several extra scenes with Astra and more. Some of these moments include unfinished visual effects.
- SDCC@Home Cast Panel Season 7 Highlights: A nearly five minute clip from the virtual Comic Con panel in which the creative team and a couple of the cast members tease some of the developments that come during the season.
- Captain At The Helm – DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow 100th Episode: A six-minute piece which takes a look at the 100th episode of the series including the direction of Caity Lotz, making the story a celebration for fans, the cherished memories they have made along the way and more.
- Gag Reel: A nearly seven-minute collection of flubbed or forgotten lines, giggle fits, goofing around, malfunctioning props and more that provide some big laughs.
Final Thoughts
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has always been one of our favorite corners of the Arrowverse, confidently marching to the beat of its own drum with its wild and unforgettable adventures through time. This latest, and unfortunately last, season finds the series as fun as ever despite less variety in the locales. The only real issue is that the show was canceled before it was given a chance to properly end the story, which will always feel incomplete unless the creative team is given a chance to wrap things up in some way. Nevertheless, the season offers a lot of memorable moments and is one we are glad to have in our collection. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray featuring an excellent A/V presentation and some enjoyable special features. If you have collected all of the seasons up until this point, you might as well round out your collection. Recommended
