Before being tapped to helm the upcoming Terminator project, Tim Miller was attached to Deadpool 2. He had made his directorial debut with the first Deadpool movie in 2016 and due to differences with Ryan Reynolds, left the sequel. And while the second Deadpool film featured the Juggernaut, the movie almost featured The Fantastic Four. That’s right, Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing were almost set to fight against the mammoth of a mutant himself.
Concept artist Alexander Lozano shared recently art for The Thing to appear in Tim Miller’s Deadpool 2.
In regards to leaving Deadpool 2, Miller had to say:
“I felt like there was more stories to tell there, but I’m happy that somebody else is telling them,” Miller said. “There was a sense of relief in that I get to do something new versus Deadpool 2. I think it would’ve been a great movie, but it was also going to be a continuation of what we had done. This really gave me a chance to do something new.”
Considering the utter sh*t show that the Fantastic Four (2015) was, it would have been great to see what the FF would have looked like in the Deadpool 2 movie. How do you feel about this news? Are you happy that they were left out or would you have liked to see the Juggernaut go head to head with The Thing?
