[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10036″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With episode five of The Walking Dead marking the departure of Rick and Maggie from the series, our favorite characters will be dealing with a whole new foe from this moment forward. Fans of the comics will know that The Whisperers are some of the most ruthless nemesis that they’ve ever faced and pretty much make Negan look like a minor inconvenience in comparison.
SPOILERS BELOW
For those not familiar with this group of people, who were first introduced in issue #130; Rick had first heard about them in regards to rumors about walking whispering. Thinking that these talks were crazy or that the walkers were involving, we then see that these people, in fact, wear the skin of walkers to mask themselves and to be able to move along with the dead.
The Whisperers are led by a bald woman named Alpha, whom we never know her real name. Alpha and her group are relentless and won’t rule anything out, including sexually assaulting others. Things become complicated when her daughter Lydia becomes involved with Carl, but considering Carl was killed last season and Rick is no longer around, we’re assuming a lot is going to be shuffled around to still bring The Whisperer’s story to The Walking Dead this season.
Samantha Morten will play Alpha. Ryan Hurst plays Alpha’s second in command, Beta; who is described as a former professional athlete. Unfortunately, characters like Rosita and Ezekiel become targets for The Whisperers, so who knows if this will play out in live-action.
Are you prepared for The Whisperers?
