Dexter Season 9 To Feature Two New Female Characters; Both Indigenous Women

Dexter’s revival is sure to have fans excited. They want to know more. Luckily, The Illuminerdi has insight on some things that fans can expect from the upcoming season.

First of all, as you know, Michael C. Hall will be returning as the serial killer forensic blood splatter analyst Dexter Morgan. Additionally, original executive producer Clyde Phillips will return for a ten-episode limited series. Joining them will be two new characters. One being a mother, Angela, and another a daughter, Audrey. According to reports, search is underway for an indigenous woman in her forties for Angela. And an indigenous woman to play a sixteen-year-old; Audrey.

The Illuminerdi reported that Angela and Audrey are part of the Seneca tribe – though they do not live on the local reservation. Angela is a single mother and Audrey is described as an “environmental activist”. Angela serves as the chief of police in Iron Lake, NY. In additional news, apparently, there’s going to be some sex scenes – as reports say that the actress who plays Angela must be comfortable with simulated sex.

The show also has an actress in mind for Angela – apparently, they’re looking to cast Julia Jones.

What do you think about the two new characters for Dexter season 9?
