Did These Two Former ‘Agents of Shield’ villains Survive The SNAP?

After the infamous Thanos snap, many fans once the shock of seeing some of their favorites become a pile of hero dust faded, wondered what might have happened to others in the MCU. Apparently this even included the “villains” who had already met their demise BEFORE the snap.

During the LA Comic Con 2018, Former Agents of SHIELD villains Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and Aida (Mallory Jansen) just made an appearance for an Agents of SHIELD panel, where they were asked whether or not their respective villain characters would’ve survived The Snap. That of course is assuming that their characters hadn’t already died. They replied:

Brett Dalton: Why you have to put that restriction in it? “If they’re alive?” Why you gotta rub it in our faces that we died?  [Thinks it over] Yeah, sure.

Mallory Jansen: Yeah! It’s Marvel, we never really die.

While they were being facetious, they really weren’t that far off from the truth. As anyone who has read comics know, no deaths are permanent or as even the Moderator of the panel noted: “That’s why they are called N.E.R.D.S. or Nobody Ever Really Dies.

So while the fan base waits for the conclusion in Avengers 4, other creative teams are trying to work around the events of the SNAP, either setting their story BEFORE the SNAP, or waiting until after to adjust their story to fit the results. It remains to be seen how Marvel’s Agents of Shield will approach this but they are premiering AFTER Avengers 4, so their stories might have already taken the results into consideration. Maybe we should be talking to the Shield crew to find out what happens? As for Ward or Aida? Nothing is impossible with Marvel.
