Director Matthew Vaughn Says He Is No Longer In Talks For A ‘MAN of STEEL’ Sequel

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23252″ img_size=”768×432″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Fans have been waiting a long time for a Man of Steel sequel, but even if we get one it will not have Matthew Vaughn attached to it. The man behind X-Men: First Class and Kingsman confirmed that he will not be working on a Man of Steel 2, especially now with the movie studio shifting a lot around and the potential that we may not see Henry Cavill return to reprise his role as Superman.

Despite this, Vaughn did say that it would be “hard to say no” if a serious offer did come in; he would have heavily focused on Krypton, which is the same idea that he had pitched Mark Millar back in 2008. While Vaughn’s Kick-Ass was cynical and Kingsman is known for its “gleeful” violence, Vaughn had once expressed that his Man of Steel 2 would have touched up the 1978 Richard Donner Superman film and that Vaughn would have wanted to recreate that optimistic point of view.

What do you think of Vaughn not attached to a Man of Steel 2, keeping in mind that it may not have ever happened?
