Disney CEO Addresses Gina Carano’s Firing From The Mandalorian

It’s been one month since Gina Carano was fired from Disney+’s The Mandalorian. Carano played Cara Dune in the first two seasons of the Pedro Pascal-led show. And she was let go due to some unsavory social media posts. This has caused some people to feel that Disney was taking a political stance and feeding into the accusations that Carano was targeted due to her political beliefs.

However, Disney CEO Bob Chapek revealed during the annual Disney Shareholders Meeting that:

“I don’t really see Disney as characterizing itself as left-leaning or right-leaning, yet instead of standing for values, values that are universal, values of respect, values of decency, values of integrity and values of inclusion and we seek to have the content that we make reflective of the rich diversity of the world we live in. And I think that’s a world we should all live in harmony and peace.”

What do you think of Carano’s firing?
