This has been in the development stages for some time and it was known that eventually, many of the Disney properties would find their way to it. Now it has been given a name to attach to its product, Disney Play (With the fight over the Comic-Con name, makes you wonder if “Google Play” might have something to say about that).
As the service establishes itself, films that were being shown on NetFlix will eventually find their way to the Mothership with Antman and the Wasp being the last Marvel films to be shown on Netflix. From that point forward, the 2019 slate of Captain Marvel, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Dumbo and the sequel to Frozen will be the first of the new Marvel/Disney films making their way exclusively to Disney Play. In addition, the new Jon Favreau Star Wars series will be shown exclusively on Disney Play with new content from Marvel, Pixar, and Disney also in future plans.
Now that we have a name to go with a Service, are you excited about the possibilities of a Disney owned streaming service with such a wide range of content available? Share you likes, dislikes to us at GVNation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
