Doctor Strange Director Teases Possible Namor Appearance

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17675″ img_size=”825×464″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has been pretty much verified that Marvel will be making a Dr. Strange 2. Other than that, details have been in short supply other than Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as the titular character. However, could a since deleted Tweet from Dr. Strange Director Scott Derrickson be teasing an appearance for Namor?

The tweet which was captured by SuperheroPOLL! Plus+ shows the cover from 2011’s Fear Itself: The Deep #1, that depicts Dr. Strange and Namor. Included was the text: Are you Experienced?

Does it mean anything in the long run? Unknown… but the premise is an exciting one. The rights to Namor: The Sub-Mariner had been previously purchased by Universal. However, since that time, they have reverted back to Marvel/Disney. Marvel’s Kevin Feige has more than once has said he would be open to include Namor in the MCU but there are still some legal hurdles to climb before it’s possible.

If it were possible, would you like to see Namor in the next Dr. Strange film or would you prefer him to be a stand alone character? Share the possibilities with us at GVNation.
