[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14120″ img_size=”768×433″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Doctor Who fans out there, Matt Smith is currently in his final talks to be a villain in the Jared Leto-led Spider-Man spinoff Morbius. While it is not revealed as to what villain Smith would play, his role is apparently a large one.

Daniel Espinosa is directing the Morbius film, while Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the script. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the movie. This film is within the pseudo-Venom-universe that kicked off with Tom Hardy’s 2018 movie, and while it will not actually include Peter Parker, all these characters are under the umbrella rights that Sony has.

Morbius features the character as a “living vampire” and Smith’s latest project was on The Crown season 2. Are you excited for Smith to be joining the upcoming project? Let us know!
