[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18113″ img_size=”648×364″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While it had been previously reported that Joel Kinnaman, like Will Smith; was out as far as James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad was concerned, it seems like there’s a small chance that the Swedish-American actor could reprise his role as Rick Flag. While speaking with Metro.co.uk, the actor wanted to address the speculation as to whether or not he’d return for the “relaunch” so to speak:
‘I can’t confirm or deny it just yet.’
Kinnaman was asked if he’d like to return, to which he said:
‘For sure. It’s all sort of in the works and we’ll see.’
This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, if you keep an eye on Kinnaman’s social media, he’s been vocal about wanting to return as Rick Flag in the past and despite it looking like most of his co-stars from the 2016 installment may not come back, he is still interested in portraying the characters. The Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021. Would you still want Kinnaman to return?
