People had wondered what character Peter Dinklage would play once it was announced he had landed a role in Avengers: Infinity War. As a wildly talented actor, his part was kept under wraps until the premiere.
Dinklage played Eitri, who Thor, Rocket, and Groot met on Nidavellir. It was revealed that Thanos had killed all the other workers on the dying star once Eitri made him the infinity gauntlet. With Thor, Rocket, and Groot’s help, Eitri is able to build Stormbreaker – one of Thor’s most badass weapons.
In the movie, Eitri’s hands look to be made out of some kind of metal, indicating that Thanos had taken the very hands Eitri would need to continue forging these great weapons. In newly revealed concept art by Rodney Fuentebella, we see an early illustration for the character that helped Thor make the best entrance of any character in the MCU.

Here is a keyframe illustration I did for Avengers Infinity War of Eitri. This was done early in development with a different version of Stormbreaker’s creation with Thor, Rocket and Groot. What do you think of the concept art? Do you wish we would have seen Dinklage reprise his role in Endgame?
