[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”13862″ img_size=”970×545″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Edgar Wright is a visionary filmmaker who has brought us the likes of Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and most recently, Baby Driver. In an exclusive with the director, Empire covered Wright’s upcoming projects such as a psychological thriller that will be set in London and have a female lead, co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Wright comments:
“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”
On top of this news, Wright does reveal that he is working on a sequel to the 2017 film Baby Driver, which starred Ansel Elgort and a slew of other actors. With many of those characters having met their end in the first installment, Wright reveals that there will be a whole new team of characters to “take the story further”. Since we never saw Jon Bernthal’s character actually die, can he return?
The newest issue of Empire will come out January 24th.
