In a brand new edition of Empire, Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood, come together to discuss their respective franchises for the 20th Anniversary issue. Elijah Wood is known for his role as Frodo Baggins in the Lords of the Rings franchise and Daniel Radcliffe portrayed legendary wizard, Harry Potter, for 8 movies. After 20 years the two say they still get mistaken for each other all the time and shared some hilarious stories.

“Once I was in an elevator… just me and the other person, and I could feel them looking at me intently. Just before the doors opened… he finally got up the courage, pointed at me and said, “HARRY POTTER!” I said ‘No!’ and walked away.

“Though we’re both short, pale, blue-eyed, brown haired, I would say that we don’t exactly look alike. But the idea of us is exactly the same…when people say to me, “Lord of the Rings!”, I literally just say, ‘Nope. The other one'”
I think being mistook for either would not be so bad since both franchises are two of the most beloved in cinematic history. People are constantly doing side by sides of the two or even meshing their faces together because of the somewhat similar appearance but quite frankly I just do not see it.
Both franchises are set to continue as another Fantastic Beasts movie is in the works, Amazon is creating a Lord of the Rings series, and there is a planned Harry Potter series on HBO Max.
