Elizabeth Tulloch Cast as CW’s Lois Lane in the Arrowverse

Since the announcement of Lois Lane appearing in the Arrowverse was first announced, fans have wondered who will be playing the iconic character. Ponder no more, for Elizabeth Tulloch, who was best known for her role on NBC’s show Grimm; will be premiering as the character in the Arrowverse crossover. Having played Juliette Silverton/Even on the cult classic show for six seasons, she will be playing opposite Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman as his love interest. She’s been referenced a few times in Supergirl, but this will be the first time we are seeing her on screen.

Lois Lane is described in the Arrowverse as “the daughter of US General Same Lane; Lois is a tenacious, righteous, and turban reporter who will go to any length to get the story and almost never fails”. We can see this similarity in almost every rendition of Lane’s character, especially Amy Adams’ adaptation in the DCEU. Iris West’s character in the Flash was also a tenacious reporter, so it could be something the two could potentially bond over?

Clark Kent actor himself expressed his excitement for meeting his “Lois”:

“It’s awesome,” Hoechlin said during a panel. “I know nothing about it. I don’t know who it is yet…but obviously, it’s really exciting to have a lot of these new characters popping into this one. The crossover has always been a huge event, but it seems like there’s a lot of new characters coming into it for the first time this time, so it should be a lot of fun.”

Tulloch’s addition to the Arrowverse will bring a heavy hitter into the show’s universe, having worked in such films as Concussion, The Artist, Parkland, as well as TV series such as Portlandia, House MD, and The West Wing.
