According to The Wrap, British actress Ella Purnell has been brought on to play Dave Bautista’s daughter in the NetFlix Zombie thriller. Purnell’s film credits include Kick-Ass 2, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and Churchill among others. With the addition of Purnell, that rounds out the cast which includes Dave Bautista, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi and Huma Qureshi.
Principal filming for the project begins in July from a script written by Snyder and Shay Hatten. Army of the Dead marks Synder’s first return to the Zombie genre since his directorial debut in Dawn of the Dead for Universal Pictures.
