Emily Blunt has long been fancast as Sue Storm and her real life husband has been fancast as Reed Richards. There were reports that Blunt was offered the role of Captain Marvel before it eventually went to Brie Larson. It seems Marvel has circled back around to Emily and she has indeed had talks with Marvel studios about an upcoming film. Charles Murphy reports the two met during filming on Disney’s Jungle Cruise.

With the rights to the Fantastic Four now back firmly in Marvel’s hands one could begin to assume that she might be in line for the role of Sue Storm but there are plenty of other roles the actress could be taking if she even does take a role. Blunt would be a great addition to the Marvel franchise for sure regardless of what role she takes. Hopefully we will have more news on this soon.
