Edge of Tomorrow starred Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise. Having had been released in 2014, there hasn’t been any mention of a sequel. Blunt and Cruise have been very busy in their careers since, but Blunt is hopeful that she, Cruise, and director Doug Liman can come back together one day for a sequel.
“I think there’s an idea, that [Liman] says is great. And he says this guy came in and cracked the case. How the stars will all align for us to be able to do it. I don’t know. I hope they do.”
Blunt continued to actress what the movie meant to her:
“I absolutely adored it. It broke my body in half, but I’d be willing to do it again to work with those boys who I love. So let’s see.”
Blunt also laughed at the likelihood of a sequel being done any time soon, which is slim:
“Tom and I are going to be 70 before we make another one. It’s going to look a bit weird. We’ll have to do a real flashforward one. We’ll go full [The] Irishman, it’ll be the Irishman version of Edge of Tomorrow.”
Would you want to see a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow?
